Robert Garnham and Puddlehopper Books are delighted to announce the publication of Gazebo.
Gazebo draws together the material from Robert’s solo shows Juicy, In the Glare of the Neon Yak and Spout, as well as the 2019 one off hour piece The Moon Wrapped in String, plus material from his new show currently being prepared for next year. And as a special bonus, the book also features the script to Fuselage, his award winning play from 2008, which was performed at the Northcott Theatre.
Robert says, ‘I’m hugely proud of Gazebo. It draws together the longer pieces written over the last ten years, pieces which have allowed me to explore narrative and the world around us. This one volume takes the reader from the Saharan desert to a sleeper train service to a space capsule in orbit around a distant planet, from the Australian outback to an airport terminal and a suburban supermarket. At all times I’ve tried to imbue the stories with a sense of magic and wonder, excitement in the everyday, with humour and inventiveness.’
